Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, business management, business administration, or a related field.
- Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in benefits, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Knowledge of theories, procedures, practices, materials, and methods related to employee benefit programming.
- Familiarity with applicable local, county, and state regulations, laws, and policies.
- Skill in personnel, financial, administrative management, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in the use of technology, data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to analyze a variety of administrative, operational, and fiscal problems and make sound recommendations for solutions.
- Ability to manage and supervise program activities to ensure a program meets its goals
- Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with culturally diverse school-based personnel, central office staff, public entities, and vendors.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in employee benefit plan design, procurement, implementation, and vendor management.
- Experience in HCM acquisition and implementation.
- Experience with the collective bargaining process.
- CEBS certification.
- SHRM-CP or SCP certification.
- Knowledge of school organization, mission, and the requirements for the assigned function to accomplish the mission.
