What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at Fairfield Inn and Suites?
Sales Manager:
Fosse experience preferred, but not required.
SUMMARY: Handles inside sales and works to develop outside opportunities. Handles administrative duties of sales department while playing an active role in the operation of the hotel.
Ø Reports directly to the General Manager
Ø Reviews Daily Guest Arrival List
o Identifies existing clients and ensures tracking accuracy
o Prepares and delivers daily VIP guest gifts; pre-inspects rooms & prepares for arrival
o Identifies new clients and potential opportunities for new accounts;
Ø Produces all contracts and written sales department communications for approval & signature; ensures delivery via mail/email/fax of all approved communications
Ø Handles all incoming telephone inquiries
Ø Monitors sales emails and voicemails while responding to all inquiries promptly and efficiently
Ø Enters all group blocks into PMS; monitors cut-off dates, deposit due dates, block revisions and group communication
Ø Performs quarterly competitive set rate shops
Ø Handles all incoming CVB sales leads; prepares response proposals
Ø Responds to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Ø Responsible for SMERFE segment:
o Identify opportunities for social events through , associations, social media and community boards etc
o Represents hotel at SMERFE trade shows such as bridal shows, etc
o Build relationships with parallel SMERFE sources such as caterers, halls, sporting groups, etc to gain leads and produce opportunities for group bookings
Ø Understand the hotel’s operations, including room types, meeting capacities, services, features and benefits
Ø Review monthly Hotelligence reports & create action plan to capture 5 new account opportunities; work with DOS on telemarketing effort on those opportunities
Ø Uses internet to assist in completing Qualification Snapshot for all current and future accounts
Ø Coordinate meeting room details as needed
o Ensure outside catering is handled
o Works with AGM to ensure BEO’s are prepared and masters are billed
o Works with staff to ensure meeting room clients are serviced while in house
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
