What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor/Front Desk position at Fairfield Inn?
Fairfield Inn Woodbridge is looking for a Full-time/Part-time position for overnight shifts with flexible availability ( This will include working during weekends and holidays). FOSSE experience is preferred not required.
Job Description:
Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous professional manner; follow standards of friendly hospitality while adhering to guidelines and procedures. Execute selling strategies to enhance the hotel revenue.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge in:
- The entire property, staff, services, hours of operation, type of rooms, locations, rates, and discounts.
- Frequent Stay Program
- Reservations procedures including cancellations and walking guest
- Phone etiquette and answering procedures, be able to answer inquiries of shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Daily hotel operations, check daily events, and bulletin boards, and be up to date on changes, new procedures, and events.
- Manager on Duty functions when necessary or as scheduled
- Assist in other areas: F & B, preparing and cleanliness of property wherever assistance is needed for guest satisfaction.
- Help maintain a clean and professional lobby, and dining area; dusting vacuuming, cleaning tables, etc.
- Have a thorough working knowledge of emergency procedures.
Skills:
- Computer literate to thoroughly operate property management system: post charges, compute bills, collect payments and make change.
Abilities:
- Multi task, remain associate and guest service centric.
- Communicate with guests, and co-workers receiving and transmitting mail, phone, and written messages and relay pertinent information using communication log books.
- Assist with guest issues with professionalism, maintaining a hospitable attitude.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify the needs of each guest and provide relevant information regarding hotel policies, services, and amenities.
- Responsible for registering all guests, obtaining pertinent information, and ensuring proper credit is established.
- Respond to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area.
- Sell rooms to walk-in customers.
- Routinely enter or change reservation information on the computer system.
- Post charges and payments to guest accounts, as needed.
- Make necessary corrections to guest accounts.
- Communicate with the housekeeping department about room status/availability.
Experience:
- HOTEL FRONT DESK: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsible for providing superior service to guests, in accordance with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the company.
