Primary Responsibilities:
- Become subject matter expert with all scopes of work as developed by the preconstruction team and the project manager; ability to adhere to pro forma schedule and budget and provide variances as necessary
- Strong skills in reviewing architectural, structural and MEP drawings to determine conflicts and resolve them in the pre-construction stage foreseeing potential errors, omissions and resulting change orders
- Coordinate all equipment start up with subcontractors, consultants and manufacturers.
- Ability to direct value engineering.
- Responsible for supply oversight at building site; coordinates replenishment efforts
- Establish standard processes for documentation tracking and construction phase updates throughout project.
- Coordinate and oversee all work on site from all relevant parties: subcontractors, construction personnel, vendors; sets appropriate timelines for deliverable milestones.
- Ensure all subcontractors have proper Certificates of Insurance prior to commencement of work
- Responsible for maintaining the highest standard of safety on site, including adherence to all safety policies, remedying unsafe site conditions immediately, notifying the main office within 24-hours of an accident by preparing an Injury/Accident Report, OSHA safety guidelines, and cleanliness and orderliness of site.
- Cooperate with inspecting authorities to ensure timely approvals.
- Assist with the preparation and completion of punch-lists and preparation of Owners Service and Maintenance Manuals.
- Coordinate all required special inspections with consultants and subs to facilitate final sign off and close out.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of construction experience in MEP, Interior Finishes, Tenant Fitout, and/or Renovation
- Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, Architecture, other related fields or experience.
- A mature professional with excellent judgment.
- Exceptional communications skills (written and verbal) and intuitive interpersonal skills.
- A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
