ACCOUNTING MANAGER
We are seeking a full-time experienced Accounting Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our property management company located in East Hartford, CT.

Qualifications:
10 years of accounting experience
5 years of managing accounting staff
QuickBooks Online experience is required
5 years of property management experience preferred
Google Suite experience a plus
RealPage/Onsite experience a plus
Monday.com experience a plus
Overall Duties/Responsibilities include:
Managing AP
Managing AR
Project Management
Cost Accounting
Oversee Payroll processing (with Paychex)
Oversee Billbacks/Payroll Reimbursements
Perform Journal entries & G/L Maintenance
Liaison between property managers and Bookkeepers
Detailed Duties:
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
Develop and oversee the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for multiple entities.
Financial Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements by Bookkeepers in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for auditors, management and stakeholders.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the entities meet its financial obligations and capital requirements.
Operations:
Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Approval of proposals and contracts in accordance with procurement policies.
Additional fiscal and operational approvals as needed.
5. Supervision:
Direct supervision of Accounting Staff to include Accounting Staff, clerk, etc.
6. Communication Skills:
Liaison to Auditors, Agencies, Owners and Staff
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in simple terms to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong presentation skills for delivering financial reports and strategic insights to the executive team and board of directors.
7. Leadership and Team Management:
Capacity to lead and inspire teams within the finance department and across the organization.
Effective delegation and empowerment of team members to foster collaboration and achieve departmental goals.
8. Training:
Internal staff training on fiscal and operational processes.
Client training as required.
9. Negotiation Skills:
Review and modification of all Contracts to ensure accuracy.
Proficiency in negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms in financial agreements, contracts, and partnerships.
Diplomacy and persuasion skills to advocate for financial strategies and initiatives that align with the company's interests.
