FOH Manager

FRONT OF THE HOUSE MANAGER:

Falmouth Yacht Club (FYC) in Falmouth, MA has an opening for a professional and mature Front of the House (FOH) Manager / or Assistant F & B Manager. We have just completed a brand new renovation of our Member dining room, bar, and kitchen and look forward to our upcoming season. This position can be either seasonal or year round, or salaried or hourly. FYC can be flexible as to what the potential candidate is looking for. Our busy season is from early May through late October. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys the hospitality business and that is looking for their next career move. This position is perfect for someone trying to advance in the hospitality business and looking for the right opportunity to learn and grow. Falmouth Yacht Club is a private, Member owned Club that has over 420 member families and their guests utilize their club every day. The Club offers Lunch & Dinner six days per week in season, and a much slower shoulder season during the fall and winter. The Club offers to its members a brand new bar and dining room, outside deck dining, function areas, and a private beach overlooking Falmouth harbor and the Vineyard sound.

- opening duties for the clubhouse for the start of the day.

- closing duties of the clubhouse at the end of the day.

- assist in nightly flag lowering (colors”) tradition.

- conducting pre-meal meeting with staff prior to start of shift.

- help expedite food service from kitchen to dining areas.

- helping to faciltate proper service with the service and bartender staff.

- being an ambassador to the Members and check in with guests during dining to address any issues or concerns.

- oversee the correct table set up for lunch & dinner service.

- ensure that staff has completed appropriate opening and closing side work.

- hosting duties when necessary.

- monitor daily reservations and bookings.

- approve and authorize voids.

- entering in daily specials into the POS system.

- assist with end of the month inventories

- assist in set up and execution of all member events, outside functions, buffets, entertainment, holiday parties etc.

- make sure all chits are accurate and assigned to proper members account.

- assists in receiving of deliveries and proper storage.

- various clerical duties as needed.

- hard working dedicated professional

- proven prior hospitality experience ( Private Club experience a plus)

- prior Point of Sale experience ( POS) preferred, especially Jonas.

- basic computer skills are necessary

- 40 hours per week.

- shift meals provided.

- must be a people person and enjoy the hospitality business.

- candidate must be able to lift at least 40 pounds

- candidate must be comfortable standing for long periods of time.
