Bilingual Family Developer

We have an immediate opening for a Family Developer. The Family Developer is responsible for providing support services to both English and Spanish speaking families seeking to foster and adopt a child. Family Developer will organize and maintain documentation and files for families; compile and enter information into database(s); and meticulously manage and track information and provide reports. The Family Developer will serve as the families’ coach, assisting them to understand and complete all required documentation; provide information, encouragement, support, and guidance for families. The Family Developer will provide office, clerical, staff and program support. This position is located full-time in office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The qualified candidate will have Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or an equivalent degree or equivalent experience. Will have fluency and ability to translate in both written and spoken Spanish and English; confident, professional, and warm interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with families from all backgrounds. Candidate must be detail-oriented with strong organizational, systems-management and writing skills; able to work independently within the position’s scope, and established systems. Familiarity with government compliance and good computer skills: MS Word and Excel, databases. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment with consistent accuracy, attention to detail, organization, prioritization and respect of confidentiality. Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position, at a workstation. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to frequently type and use a computer.
