Family Caregivers Network is recruiting caregivers to join our amazing team of staff. Family Caregivers Network is proud to offer flexible schedules that can meet most caregiver needs. We are a homecare agency that serves Montgomery, Upper Bucks, Berks, Lehigh and Chester Counties.

What do our caregivers do?

Our caregivers can work independently providing personal care to patients. They typically travel to a patient’s home and help them perform basic tasks like cleaning the house, bathing the patient and providing them with companionship and emotional support. Caregivers may also be responsible for driving and escorting clients to appointments, grocery trips and other important errands. They may also help the client with any mobility issues, like helping them in and out of their beds or chairs and pushing them in wheelchairs.

What Skills and Qualifications do you Need?

Caregivers have a wide mix of skills. They need to be organized and be able to multitask, and they must be able to help with a range of home chores, such as preparing meals and cleaning. Depending on the level of care you provide, caregivers will need several specialized skills, such as: Experience with Alzheimer’s or dementia care, understanding of what to do in an emergency, how to provide personal care in a bed, and specialized disease specific care. The good news is: We provide all the training in any areas of care you provide.

What makes a great Caregiver?

A strong caregiver should be compassionate and friendly, as they’re regularly working with patients and providing them with a positive and encouraging atmosphere. It’s also important for the caregiver to hold a driver’s license so they can easily transport the patient to and from their appointments and errands.

What settings do Caregivers typically work in?

Most caregivers work in a patient’s home helping provide personal care and also assisting with the upkeep of their home, if needed. Other Caregivers may work in a nursing home taking care of elderly clients and providing basic care services like bathing, feeding and companionship.

What positions does Family Caregivers Network have available?

Part Time / Per Diem: Our PT caregivers have flexibility at their fingertips. Employee availability is submitted based on YOUR Availability. Can you only work a couple evenings a week? We have work for you! Can you only work on the weekend? We have work for you! Can you work a few hours during the day? WE HAVE WORK FOR YOU!

Full Time: Full Time caregivers are guaranteed 40 hours of work a week. Overtime is always available. Full Time employees are required to work every other weekend ( or 4 weekend days a month) and two evening a week ( Until 8pm or 9pm.) Full time employees are offered Benefits and Paid Time Off. Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, Aflac ( Short Term, accident, Cancer), and Unum Long Term Care.

Shifts: Family Caregivers Network operates on a 24 hour basis. We have shifts available that will meet your needs.

• Hourly: Intermittent visits during the day and evening. We do 2 – 12 hours visits.
• Overnights: 8-12 hour shifts that normally start between 7pm – 11pm.
• Live Ins: 16 hours a day with 8 hours of sleep time in the client’s home. There are adequate sleeping quarters furnished separate from the client they care for. The employee's time spent sleeping is usually uninterrupted with minimum sleep period uninterrupted of at least 5 hours. Pay for this position is $1295 for 7 days of Live Ins in one week.
