YOUR DAY
In your position as a Lead Cook, you will work within a diverse team. Performing tasks by collaborating with Teachers and being an example for students. Prepares food nutritiously using limited amounts of fats, sugars, and salt. Prepares food in quantities according to CACFP requirements. Cleans the kitchen area including dishes, work counters, and food storage areas. Sanitize as necessary according to food service requirements. Reviews menu and/or plans menu to allow for cultural diversity and seasonal themes. Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and delivering 75-100 meals.
PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Knowledge of licensing requirements, Child and Adult Care Food Program, and Head Start Program performance standards
· Ability to use an electronic payroll system
·At least 6 months of related experience is highly preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma
· Ability to use an electronic payroll system

WORK SCHEDULE
Your commitment will be celebrated with a Monday through Friday schedule between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Flexibility is the key, allowing you to tailor schedules and action plans to cater to the unique needs of children, families, and our program.
