Qualifications:

• Education Required: Open.
• Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience Required: Any relevant experience in a related field.
• Experience Preferred: Minimum of 3 years in a related field.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and vehicle with appropriate auto insurance required. Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.

Position Specifics

• Typically reflecting a 32-hour work week.
• Position Hours: Typically Tuesday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm with some flexibility needed outside those hours to meet the needs of clients.
• Full-time position.
• Nonexempt hourly position.
• $27.05 per hour estimated $45,000.00 per year.
• Comprehensive benefits are offered.
• Service Area: Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer Counties in Illinois.
• This position participates in the on-call rotation.

Position Details

The Advocate of Illinois Sexual Abuse Prevention will provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered comprehensive services to survivors of sexual assault as well as facilitate prevention education in elementary, middle schools, and high schools in Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer counties in Illinois. This position will provide short-term and long-term culturally/linguistically appropriate services to promote the health, safety, and well-being of survivors of underserved populations and in the school systems. This position must have reliable transportation. This position participates in the on-call rotation, providing 24-hour in-person crisis response to survivors as requested. This position must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Supervisor of Illinois Sexual Abuse. This position will need to have a flexible schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and holidays.
