Job Summary:

This position supports our offices in Duval, Nassau, Pasco & Pinellas counties. Daily responsibilities include: researching and identifying grant opportunities, acquiring, and compiling data, completing, and submitting grant applications, maintaining grant data and providing status updates/reporting to internal and external customers as required and ensures compliance with grant responsibilities and accountabilities. Occasional travel required between offices in Northeast Florida and Suncoast Florida. Reports to the Director of Community Engagement, Recruitment & Grants.

Essential Duties:

  • Actively research and identify grant opportunities and other similar funding sources. 30%
  • Create, monitor, and refine systems to track grant opportunities and submissions. 10%
  • Coordinate with appropriate staff to determine and confirm which grants to pursue then initiate and complete the grant application process. 30%
  • Manage data collection and reporting systems for acquired grants; prepare timelines and status reports. Maintain grant and program records. 10%
  • Ensure responsiveness to grantor/compliance with scope of grant. Assure performance of grant implementation. Act as liaison with grant contacts. 10%
  • Facilitate and maintain grant-related community partnerships 5%
  • Facilitate/liaison department MindShare/CoBRIS requests/needs. 5%
  • Attend appropriate meetings. As Needed.
  • Perform other duties As Needed

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business related field. Master’s Degree preferred

Experience: Demonstrated history of receiving local and/or state awards

  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and experience with Adobe’s Creative Suite a plus

Other Requirements:

  • Clear Level II background screening.
  • Positive references.
  • Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside.
  • Clear a substance abuse screen.
  • Provide a copy of all degrees prior to your first day of employment.
  • Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check and must be insurable under the company’s automobile policy.
  • Provide a copy of driver’s license
  • Provide a copy of auto insurance.
  • Provide proof of, and maintain a minimum personal auto liability insurance level $100,000/$300,000 if deemed to be a driving risk.
  • Clear an E-Verify check to substantiate that the successful candidate meets the Department of Homeland Security authorization requirements to work in the United States (for more information visit www.dhs.gov/e-verify).
