The Director of IT Operations is responsible for daily Global Operations of IT teams supporting client hardware, software and services as well as Corporate Helpdesk functions. The candidate will have direct oversight and responsibilities in supporting new branch offices and or expansions, employee on-boarding, end-point device management and all video conferencing needs including department and global townhalls. Key objectives for this role will be to identify opportunities in streamlining operational functions, policies and procedure & to automate repeatable process to drive improved SLA and scale for Fanatics Commerce.
A successful Director of IT operations should be an effective leader who can motivate and manage teams to achieve measurable business goals and possess strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities for IT Director:
Oversee daily IT operations and supervise systems and IT staff.
Provide measurable KPI’s to standardize processes globally and drive fungibility for remote support across geographic areas.
Responsible for establishing a global operations strategy including on-boarding, asset management, endpoint security, helpdesk support and automation opportunities.
Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget.
Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology including network connectivity, security and compliance.
Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems.
Lead and manage successful implementations of IT-based, cross-functional projects, providing clarity for success measures, milestones, and transparent progress reporting, identifying, and elevating risks, resolving roadblocks with a bias for what is best for the business, and fostering joint accountability with business partners for successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
5-7 years’ experience working with IT operations and business processes.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of computer systems, security, network, and systems administration.
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
Rigorous attention to detail and highly organized, but able to operate with ease at all levels.
Global call center or service desk function preferred.
A strong business acumen and ability to maintain budgetary control.
Proven and demonstrated leadership, communication, organization, and effective management of technology projects.
Strategic thinker with proven ability to operationalize the strategy. Strong problem-solving skills.
