Job Description


In this compelling leadership position, you will direct team efforts on providing end-to-end management of programs that address strategic initiatives, operational needs, and other key business issues by aligning multiple projects, products, processes, and stakeholders.

We have one opening for this Hybrid role and it can be based in our Washington, DC or Reston, VA office.


THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Finance Transformation - Program Management - Director role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities related to developing applications. Determine scope and priority of current and upcoming projects to allocate appropriate levels of resources to project development efforts.
  • Develop and/or maintain significant portions of strategy, strategic plans, and related processes. Support the design of the transformation roadmap, including clear milestones, workstreams, and owners.
  • Partner with leaders and stakeholders to gain support for a program or initiative.
  • Assign staff based on skill sets and demands of projects. Provide technical guidance in the course of working on projects.
  • Manage and develop team members; Provide ongoing professional guidance and direction.
  • Compile executive reporting and communicate to executive management on major accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
  • Manage budget process for responsible areas. Consider actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated forecast.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate. Improve efficiencies to reduce costs.
  • Collect data/information needed to support analysis from multiple sources. Analyze business performance against objectives. Collaborate with business units to resolve concerns.
  • Identify and recommend metrics that drive and measure business performance. Run complex analysis, develop recommendations, and prepare communications to transmit recommendations to senior leaders.

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 8 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver business objectives on large-scale finance transformation projects within budget and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present at the executive level.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills that are adaptable to the stakeholder.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and financial analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated progressive and mature leadership and professionalism while leading through change.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams and people. Demonstrated ability to motivate, manage, rally and mentor teams.
  • Skilled in Excel, Tableau and MS Project.

Desired Experiences

  • 10 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Big 4 Consulting experience.
  • Deep understanding of internal controls, risk management, and business processes preferred.
  • High attention to detail, self-motivated and quick learner.
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive rapport with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with people with different functional expertise and skills respectfully and cooperatively towards a common goal.
  • Strong influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, challenges the status quo to find innovative solutions.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner.

The hiring range for this role is set forth above.
