Salesclerk
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on duty.
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures and to uphold the Gold Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Helping customer locate merchandise and informing customer of any product knowledge that may be helpful.
- Verifying proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise.
- Operating handheld Telxon and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Removing damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
- Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
- Ensuring a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
- Assist customers with special order requests and sales.
- Attending store and job-related meetings along with completion of required Outfitter trainings.
- Communicating with Customers, Management and all store employees.
- Following all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
- Ensuring that your work area is clean and has sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties.
- As needed, operate cash registers and assist with customer carry outs.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and/or tow motors.
- Weight lifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be required as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Age requirement is 16 years old.
- Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
Salary : $23,700 - $30,000
