What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Manager position at Farm.One?

Farm.One's front of house space is multi-use, serving as a light café / showroom during the day and a relaxing bar and event space during the evening. We run a completely non-alcoholic bar program.

The Front of House Manager ensures every visitor gets an amazing experience when they visit our space, whether that be during the day for browsing, attending a scheduled event or tour, or relaxing in the evening with a non-alcoholic drink.

The FOH manager is responsible for ensuring that our service area supports delightful experiences - everything is fully prepared and stocked, the space is spotless and clean, and that service runs smoothly throughout the day and evening. The FOH manager is the the senior customer-facing staff member onsite, and works with their small team to make every customer interaction delightful. Continual staff training, motivation and teamwork is key.

Key responsibilities

  • Create a memorable, compelling and comfortable in-person guest experience at Farm.One
  • Ensure customer-facing spaces look, feel and sound great and work smoothly throughout the day
  • Give every Member a unique experience - get to know them and make them feel especially welcome
  • Continually improve our space and our service processes
  • Ensure member pickups and drop-offs run smoothly
  • Manage all onsite payments (mostly cashless)
  • FOH staff scheduling
  • Location opening and closing procedures
  • Collaborate with the Events and Program Manager and our Member Concierge to continually improve the function of the space

The hours for this role will vary. Farm.One is not a late-night venue and most events will end around 10-11PM.

  • 5 years in a front of house position, with at least two years of management experience
  • Experience in fine dining and/or managing a full cocktail program is a plus
  • Experience with non-alcoholic / zero ABV beverage programs is a plus
  • Positive references and a track record of creating amazing customer experiences
  • Must love plants, great food, and most importantly, people!
