What are the responsibilities and job description for the Location Manager position at Farmers Cooperative?
As a Location Manager you will oversee all day to day operations for your location. This position requires you to manage your facilities ensuring day to day operations are done in an efficient manner while maintaining prompt and effective customer service. You will establish and implement goals for your location that align with company objectives including housekeeping, safety, sales, and equipment and supervise facility personnel. You will collaborate with other locations and regional managers to provide needed services and equipment. You are required to ensure standards of health, safety, and security to customers, vendors, and employees by knowing and enforcing all company, local, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations. You will delegate relevant tasks and work in a team-based environment as you are responsible for your location in its entirety. You must be familiar with cooperative operations including products, services, and equipment. You will assist in developing recommendations for equipment/facility improvements and monitoring production costs. You will accept responsibility to help recruit, develop, and retain your personnel in a professional manner with both the company’s and your employees’ best interest in mind. We ask that you maintain and continually update knowledge and training in order to remain a valuable resource to both the company and customers. You will be expected to work hard, and you will have to work more hours during busy seasons. This is an extremely skilled position requiring an individual that takes pride in their work, pays attention to details, and upholds Farmers Cooperative policies, mission, and core values.
The Cooperative operates under the “all hands-on deck” philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, employees are required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent
- Two-year associate degree in Agribusiness, Agronomy, another related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience working in the Cooperative Industry
- Farming or agriculture background/knowledge preferred
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent time management and workflow efficiency skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent computer skills including email, computer software, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- The ability to think clearly and problem solve
- Extrovert-must be able to talk and listen to anyone
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
- The desire to be involved in agriculture and work for a cooperative
- Physically this position may require you to stand, stoop, kneel, and crawl and regularly lift from 50-100 lbs
- You will be exposed to grain dust, lubricants, chemicals, fertilizers, and outdoor elements and temperatures
Salary : $39,100 - $49,500
