What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts counterperson position at Farris Jeep?
We at Farris Automotive Group we need one more parts advisor to join our team. We are looking for a someone who comes to work with a positive attitude every day, and loves to help others.
Previous retail parts experience is preferred, but not required. The ability to work Saturday is a must, and a pre-employment job assessment is included in the hiring process to ensure success in the position.

Locally owned by the same family since 1929. Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following : Maintains counter areas, keeps storage areas clean and uncluttered.
Assists all customers (phone, internal and external) at a high level in selecting the required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
Informs customers of companion part requirements to fully complete their repairs. Answers phone calls providing price quotes and other information.
Reviews body shop estimates to ensure the requested parts properly fit the vehicle, and the pricing is inline with the estimate.
Pulls and fills orders from stock. Notifies the parts manager of out of stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
Locates out of stock parts from outside sources orders those parts as necessary. Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts has arrived.
Pulls orders for delivery ensuring the purchase requirements of the customer are met. Maintains a back-order log and follows up on back ordered parts.
Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly. Returns unneeded parts to vendors weekly. Replenishes inventory daily. Ensures all parts are billed as they cross the counter.
Ensures all special order customer pay parts are paid for in advance. Ensures all charge sales are signed by the customer.
Ensures all customers have the customer copy of their invoice. If any part returns are taken, ensures the part is in its original box, and issues the credit using the original invoice number.
Bills all special tools requested by the technician to the repair order. Keeps orderly records of all invoices, estimates, and other necessary paperwork.
Completes all required Chrysler training. Other training may be assigned as needed. Keeps current on new products and product updates.
Maintains a lost sale program. Maintains professional appearance according to handbook guidelines. We are looking to fill these open positions quickly.
