OVERVIEW :
Working as Full-time District Sales Support, you must have a strong interest in sales and enjoy working to support both internal sales personnel and external customers.
Job tasks will support the district and will vary depending on the direction of the respective project or administrative support required.
This position will only be filled by an internal candidate and only in those Districts with a minimum of $2M / month in sales.
This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
oAssisting district and local sales personnel with sourcing and quoting, bid requests, auditing and general support, as needed
oOffering assistance with district and local customer implementation projects
oHelping provide marketing support to district and local sales personnel to help grow the customer base and maintain current customer levels
oMeeting expectations for customer service standards
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position :
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
oPossess at least 2 years of Fastenal work experience
oExcellent written and oral communication skills
oProficient computer skills
oProduct knowledge
oHighly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
oDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
oDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
oWillingness to travel 50% of the time
oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
oPossess a degree in a Business / Marketing related field of study
oPrior experience or familiarity with material management programs, cost savings documentation and key account sales
