What are the responsibilities and job description for the BAR MANAGER position at Fat Boots NOLA?
The ideal candidate will have proven experience overseeing operations in hospitality and ability to collaborate across a wide range of areas, while also leading a team toward maximum guest services, productivity and efficiency. The Bar Manager is responsible for the second shift/ evening operation at the venue, including:
- Manage the floor during busy periods of customer traffic and presence
- Control receipts of cash and adhere to proper handling procedures
- Perform and oversee closing procedures at the end of each day
- Calculate tip earning distribution and reporting to Human Resources/Finance
- Make staffing/hiring suggestions
- Review employee time card reports daily and ensure compliance with time recording. Report any necessary adjustments to Human Resources
- Monitor inventory levels and bar-par, and limit loss
- Promote high levels of customer service and outstanding guest experience. Resolve any customer issues immediately and address feedback
- Motivate employees, evaluate work performance regularly and provide counseling, when necessary
- Oversee standard maintenance protocols of the venue, and ensure all areas are functioning, clean, sanitized, and presentable at all times
- Ensure a safe and healthy workplace for employees and customers, by maintaining knowledge of Safety & Fire & Emergency procedures
- Coordinate with finance and operations on financial data reporting
- Manage adequate levels of inventory, and enforce receiving and inventory management controls
- Coordinate with the GM on setting and maintain sufficient work schedules and shifts within appropriate payroll budgets
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures throughout the day-to-day operation
- Coordinate with Senior Management on all major occurrences

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience specifically in the Hospitality/ Service operation industry
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Detailed planning, organization & implementation of necessary tasks
- Excellent managerial and communication skills
- Leadership abilities to foster a highly capable and engaging team!
- Facile with computer systems and programs
