FLSA Status:Non-Exempt
Primary Position Objective:
To contribute to maintaining an attractive, clean hotel and outlets in accordance with the property standards. To provide service and support for housekeeping staff and cleaning assigned areas. Assist with fulfilling guest requests as communicated by Guest Services team.
Housekeeping Skills/Essential Functions:
Assist with pulling soiled linen and trash from guest rooms when needed
Deliver soiled linen to laundry room and return clean linen to housekeeping carts and linen/storage rooms, if needed
Remove trash from housekeeping carts and common areas and deliver to designated trash location, if needed
Stock and maintain housekeeping carts and linen/storage rooms
Ability to perform general cleaning tasks such as but not limited to, sanitizing, refilling, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, dusting, tidying, cleaning glass, spraying, pushing, vacuuming, stocking, placing, folding
Participate in cleaning hallways, elevators, common areas, public and associate restrooms, locker areas, break areas, offices, meeting room spaces, entryways and stairwells as needed; as well as other locations within and around the hotel and outlets as assigned (may require one or a combination of all listed physical requirements)
Properly use chemicals, cleaners and cleaning equipment
Participate in deep cleaning and carpet cleaning
Assist in receiving, opening and storing supplies
Assist in other housekeeping or maintenance responsibilities, if needed
Assist with laundry processing as needed
Guest Relations and Teamwork Skills:
Take every opportunity to impress the guest
Smile, have eye contact and greet guests immediately upon each encounter

Be groomed according to company standards (Personal Appearance Policy)
Properly handle special requests
Anticipate and exceed guest expectations
Ability to participate as a part of a team
Follow correct procedures for entering a guest room, restroom or other private space
Keep voices and other noise low on guest floors, especially in the morning or late evening
Keep language professional and appropriate in the work place
Properly notify supervisor and resolve guest requests
Deliver cribs, roll-away beds and other requests to guest rooms
Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
Be professional, responsible and mature in conduct and behavior
Be friendly with all co-workers and supervisors
Communicate pertinent information to supervisor(s) and Human Resources to ensure a workplace that follows company policies
Openly accept critical/developmental feedback
Report to work on time
Give adequate notice (per Attendance Policy) if going to miss work
Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company
Work flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, and potentially varying shifts or days
Project a favorable image of the property to the public at all times
Be careful with hotel property, including hallways walls, equipment and chemicals
Attend required meetings and trainings
Ability to work productively and responsibly under limited supervision
Other:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel and outlets. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with property rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel and outlet facilities. Associates who violate hotel and outlet rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:

Handle, account for and return keys and communication devices properly
Be knowledgeable about properly using chemicals and handle chemicals accordingly
Be knowledgeable of policies regarding emergency procedures, safety, lost and found items and security concerns
Be knowledgeable of biohazard policies and following biohazard safety procedures
Be knowledgeable about harassment in the workplace and appropriate reporting steps
Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
Be knowledgeable of human trafficking signs and report suspicions to a supervisor immediately
Respect guest privacy in accordance with safety procedures
Physical Requirements
Must be able to communicate in and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to move for extended periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Ability to but not limited to the following: squat, reach, lift, grasp, carry, operate, kneel, bend, walk, and climb.
Ability to carry, lift, move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally
Knowledge of operations, its services and facilities
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different areas of the hotel on a timely basis.
Knowledge Requirements
