MWS Sales Representative
Location. Remote however in the Columbus, OH area.
Description:
A WMS, or warehouse management system, is software that helps companies manage and control daily warehouse operations, from the moment goods and materials enter a distribution or fulfillment center until the moment they leave.
This is specifically for a MWS Sales Representative. Having warehousing/logistics knowledge and experience would be most effective in this role, but not mandated.
This is a ground floor opportunity to create the sales division of an established, 30-year-old company operating in start-up mode. The role of the WMS Sales Representative will actively generate new business and convert prospects into customers. This role will support the growth of our Warehouse Management Software company through continuous addition of new client sales. Applicant Requirements
- Must have WMS Sales experience to be considered
Position is Remote work with some travel to main office. Office is physically located in the Midwest - specifically Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan or Kentucky for Travel
The salary range is based on experience and will be a base, plus commission, is based on experience and interview.
Responsibilities
● Present, promote and sell products/services to prospective customers
● Generate leads through various tactics including cold calling
● Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospects
● Meet or exceed predetermined sales goals quarterly
● Respond to inbound inquiries from prospective customers (phone, email, and web)
● Analyze needs of potential customers and present appropriate solutions
● Work closely with Marketing to define target segments, messaging and identify trends
● Attend industry conferences
● Develop sales strategies that support sales goals
● Develop solid sales pitch
● Collaborate with team members across departments in support of sales efforts
● Provide management with reports on pipeline, goals, competitive activities, and market
feedback
● Travel to prospects 80-100%
Qualifications
● Prior experience in selling WMS Software
● Ability to conduct research on companies and prospects
● Ability to connect prospective clients' needs with product and service offerings
● Strong relationship building and management skills
● Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
● Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Experience in Warehouse and Logistics Industry preferred
● Experience selling software preferred
● Leverage CRM tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and sectors
