We’re hiring a Material Manager
Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Material Manager for its manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN to lead and manage the Master Scheduler / Material Planner team for the plant. They will support the plant PIC (Sales & Operations Plan) and PDP (Master Production Schedule) processes and manage all demands for components to suppliers. They will be required to support inventory Analysts and the Engineering Change Co-ordinator with the new program launches and product phase out.

This job will require you to:
- Define and follow up indicators and targets for the team
- Support the implementation with the appropriate departments (APU, Logistics, Purchasing, FES, GIS), tools, and methods in order to improve the PC&L performance.(i.e. Pull flow, EDI, LISA Manifests, Transportation Execution Optimization)
- Actively participate to the S&OP/PIC and MPS/PDP processes at plant level
- Help identify and resolve external bottlenecks during the S&OP/PIC and MPS/PDP processes at plant level and.
- Manage bottlenecks issues by co-ordinating actions with suppliers
- Ensure the plant industrial objectives by optimizing resources and inventory level
- Follow up realization of the MPS/PDP and propose correctives actions connected with components availability
- Define with the transportation team the inbound transportation plans for the plant
- Coordinate with master scheduler team on any issues impacting the production plan
- Propose adapted actions with suppliers if necessary
- Ensure data are put into FCS (SAP) in order to send accurate forecasts and Firm requirements to suppliers and to maintain inventory accuracy
- Follow up delivery performance, daily deliveries, and production priorities in co-ordination with APU; take correctives actions needed
- Manage with suppliers the availability of returnable containers
- Measure daily MPM for each supplier
- Propose action plans to improve the delivery performance
- Manage and co-ordinate the Material Planning team to reach the PDP adherence target and inventory level required
- Lead actions connected with stock reductions thru the stock segmentation and follow up inventory target achievements
- Lead PC&L and Purchasing meetings and follow up related action plans
- Develop logistics protocol with suppliers in co-operation with Purchasing
- Co-ordinate inventory management for components through inventory targets
- Set up and implement all PC&L activities for new products from suppliers in co-ordination with the Engineering Change coordinator
- Participate in the line and industrial transfer projects
- Apply the PC&L standards to new products and suppliers
- Avoid any obsolescence due to new product introduction and product phase out
The ideal candidate
To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:
Minimum education level: Bachelor or Master’s Degree
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Automotive tier 1 supplier as Master Scheduler or Material planner
Skills and competencies:
- Proficient skills with SAP (Manufacturing: PP, MM)
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
