Event Coordinator
FāVS has a history of hosting successful community engagement opportunities in the Spokane Region. With the advantages of new funding and post-pandemic fervor, FāVS News now seeks to be the region’s trusted host for gathering and growing understanding and unity among diverse communities.
FāVS News is seeking an experienced part-time event planner to help plan and execute engaging community events – both small and large – that inform and build bridges between faith and non-faith groups. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end event planning that brings people together, sparks dialogue and furthers our mission.
Duties:
- Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize creative events that align with our goal of building community
- Research and secure ideal event venues and vendors that are inclusive and accessible
- Manage relationships with venues, hosts, speakers, etc.
- Create detailed plans and production schedules for each event
- Oversee event logistics like registration to optimize engagement
- Manage budget and track expenditures, providing post-event analysis
- Foster an welcoming atmosphere at all events
Requirements:
- Experience bringing together diverse communities and viewpoints
- Strong vendor/supplier relationship management skills
- Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Budget management experience
- Passion for bringing people together across lines of difference
