Company Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Join a group of mission-driven professionals on our Data Loss Protection team to support and protect the security of Federal Reserve and Treasury data on various platforms including on premise and in the Cloud. We develop and operate solutions that help our internal business, Information Technology, and Information Security customers to effectively communicate both internally and externally securely. In this Information Security Engineer role, you will build, and maintain infrastructure, security services, and system components in a hybrid cloud environment. Training is provided and the team has a supportive, knowledge-sharing culture. You will: Deploy and maintain various security tools and systems in a complex hybrid cloud environment. Work with partners to obtain and translate requirements into technical implementations. Lead automation efforts to minimize manual work, ensure compliance goals, and support continuous delivery frameworks and tools. Prepare and execute security test plans, and assess security control effectiveness. Maintain DLP policies & rules and respond to associated events which support compliance to the organization’s information security policies. Maintain/troubleshoot issues with the DLP security infrastructure. Assist in responding to and managing security events. Assist with efforts to implement and manage solutions in the areas of virtualization, cloud technologies, data protection, threat protection, and security event monitoring. Support operational KPIs and other metrics around the technologies implemented. Collaborate with infrastructure architecture, networking, server, endpoint, web, and application development teams. Your background: 4 years of information security experience Demonstrate a strong level of knowledge in at least one of the major world-class DLP platforms. Technical expertise in systems administration and security tools Working knowledge of Windows OS family, Linux and TCP/IP networking required. Experience with Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP) Knowledge of cloud-based security tools (AWS CloudTrail, Azure Sentinel, Google Chronicle) Knowledge of industry standard security technologies, protocols, and best practices. Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and innovative problem-solving. Broad understanding of security controls including those for system, application, and network resources. Strong knowledge and work experience with logical access controls Experience in developing and maintaining strong working relationships. Familiarity with programming languages and automation of system tasks Familiarity with Agile and SAFe practices Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience Other Requirements: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
