About the Opportunity
The Speechwriter will develop and implement strategic communications across multiple media platforms to enhance public understanding, influence constituents, foster a positive image of the Bank, manage reputational risks, support Bank and business objectives, and engage and educate employees. Provide advice, consultation, and media support for Bank president on a variety of issues, including speaking engagements, employee relations, contingency planning and response, coordinated media responses, and distribution of messages and appropriate platforms. The Speechwriter will report to the Senior Manager of Executive Engagement.

What You Will Do:
Work closely with members of Executive Engagement team and the Research Department to prepare speeches, presentations, talking points, essays, and other remarks for the Bank president.
Develop and execute communication strategies for Bank president, including preparing and reviewing internal and external communications, and prepping for media interviews and executive briefings.
Develop strategic communications plans and messages for the Bank’s key initiatives and positions on economic issues.
May lead media response and/or serve as a media consultant and communications support for Bank high priority initiatives and special projects.
Stay abreast of current events and topics relevant to the Federal Reserve System to provide timely and relevant support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
General knowledge of economics and the Federal Reserve System required.
Minimum 9 years of executive speechwriting experience or related communications experience.
Proven experience writing and editing on tight deadlines.
Expert knowledge of MS Office, AP Style.
