To plan, organize, direct, control and develop the FedEx business development organization. To ensure the achievement of revenue goals and to ensure that all revenue producting programs are implemented in such a way that revenue goals are achieved. To ensure regulatory compliance related to customer data.


Selects, trains, motivates, and develops a subordinate staff of sales managers and support personnel. Administers an annual operating budget and ensures attainment of annual revenue goals. Reviews and evaluates all assigned/targeted revenue generating activities, in relation to revenue goals and budgets. Develops performance statements and databases, thereby improving measurement systems and motivation of the entire work group. Work with FedEx sales globally (services, express, etc. As appropriate) to analyze, develop, and implement special revenue generating programs (bundling). Works with compensation to develop bonus plans. Conducts regular communication sessions with global operations management teams. Performs quality control functions by ensuring that total product quality is commensurate with corporate standards and customer expectations. Ensures follow-up to promotional programs such as new product introduction, etc. Ensures yield management meets corporate objectives. Develops strategic programs to lower costs through targeted selling of certain services and trade lanes. Responsible for working with FedEx Trade Networks agents and service providers. Responsible for global route development in support of FedEx Trade Networks revenue goals.

Bachelor's degree/equivalent. Significant business development and revenue generation experience in freight forwarding/brokerage industry required. Significant management experience with demonstrable success. Experience in recruiting and building an organization preferred. Excellent human relations and communication skills required.
