Job Title: Research Analyst
Job Summary:
This position is in support of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The Research Analyst will support the effort to update, streamline and align ROPD's training materials and regulatory and policy documents that govern the ROPD oversight and monitoring program.
Responsibilities Include:
- Initiating, directing, and executing research related to government and industry compliance standards
- Reviewing and analyzing existing processes and procedures to determine potential gaps or deficiencies
- Identifying practical solutions through creative problem solving
- Producing scientific reports, technical papers, and articles
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience
- An understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Super Circular 2 CFR200
- Knowledge in the federal Government, NHTSA and specifically Grants Management
- Experience producing scientific reports, technical papers, and articles
- Experience in document analysis, internal controls for document libraries, and policy improvement
Desired:
- Master's degree
- More than five (5) years of relevant experience
Work Setting and Environment:
- Part-time position
- Monday - Friday, normal working hours
- Work is to be performed remotely
