About us
Feeding Louisiana, the state food bank association, supports the collaborative efforts of the state’s five regional food banks - located in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport - to accomplish their policy and advocacy objectives, in addition to their food sourcing and fundraising efforts.
Seeking 12 Salary Positions in New Orleans, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Alexandra, Monroe and surrounding areas. Annual Salary Range $30,000 - $32,500 plus benefits.
The goal of the coordinator is to help clients to complete a Medicaid Application or Renewal. Must have reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
Core Responsibilities include the following:
· Partnering with Regional Food Banks and pantries to identify potential clients, support marketing efforts and assist with application process
· Assemble Medicare literature for marketing. Build and maintain professional relationships with key community partners and patient resources. Become the recognized contact person for community-based organizations. Seek outreach and community awareness/presentation opportunities
· Provide enrollment assistance program information over the phone and in person to Medicaid eligible recipients and their family members
· Distribution of promotion materials
· Provide customer service to include high volume of phone work answering questions and other inquiries regarding the Medicaid applications and renewals
· Assemble and review periodic production reports
· Perform data entry to include accurate and timely entry of information
· Assist with SNAP and/or TEFAP applications
· Other duties as required
Required Qualification
· Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills. Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills. Ability to connect with others and network to create strong business relationships. Public speaking and presentation skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Pay: $30,000.00 - $33,500.00 per year
