Job Description:
The Workday HRIS Analyst is a member of the centralized, dedicated Workday HRIS Team, working together to ensure effective use of the system by updating, configuring, improving and providing expertise on the system for other HR departments. The Workday HR system enables Ferguson to efficiently manage HR, payroll, talent, recruiting, learning and is the critical system of record for all people data. The HRIS Analyst will have at least two specialty functions to support. This position reports into the Director of HRIS.
This position is heavy business process related and not integration. We are looking for solution driven analysts who like to work business processes and problem solve.
Please Note: This position can be based at HQ in Newport News VA or Remote.
Responsibilities:
Address escalated service tickets related to complex Workday issues, including testing of changes
Identify, validate and test business process and configuration changes related to business changes, issues or process improvements
Root-cause analysis of issues
Testing for Workday releases, configuration changes, data loads
Identify and apply best practices
Manage and troubleshoot data loads
Provide Subject Matter Expertise for training
Log cases and partner with Workday for problem-solving and learning
Provide advisory services and guidance to management regarding system requirements based on company resources and needs
Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies
Mentor and collaborate with HRIS team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 3 years experience in at least two of the following Workday modules required:
Workday HCM
Workday Recruiting/Onboarding
Workday Security
Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation
Workday Payroll (US only)
Workday Absence and Time Tracking
Workday Benefits
Workday Performance Management and Talent
Understanding of HR operations and experience with HR data
Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with associates and managers
