Fermilab’s Human Resources is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner. Responsibilities include oversight of HR programs and execution of Human Resources strategies in assigned Laboratory organization(s). Ensure understanding of Laboratory needs and objectives and proactively resolve HR and business issues. Provide consultation, facilitation, and execution in areas such as talent management (succession planning, performance management), employee relations (investigations, labor, employee programs, separations). Strategic partner and liaison with organizational leaders to deliver HR solutions in partnership with the core HR functions of talent acquisition; talent development; compensation; HR analytics; benefits and wellbeing; equity, diversity and inclusion; and campus access and experience.
You Will:
- Develop and implement moderately complex HR processes, policies, programs and standards that impact achievement of functional results.
- Provide consultation, facilitation, and execution for Talent Management and Employee Relations functions.
- Advocate HR programs for assigned organizations; communicate business value of HR initiatives; assist in project management and rollout of HR programs across the Laboratory.
- Provide support for more complex HR transactions and liaison to HR core functions such as talent acquisition; talent development; compensation; HR analytics; benefits and wellbeing; equity, diversity and inclusion; and campus access and experience.
- Primary point of contact to assist employees and management team on a wide range of HR topics for assigned medium to large and/or moderately complex Division(s).
- Develop and implement communications and presentations of HR information on a wide range of HR topics.
- Contribute effectively within a diverse workforce, and uphold Fermilab’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field and minimum 5 years HR experience or Master’s degree and 3 years HR experience or equivalent. Preferred experience with three or more HR functions
- Advanced knowledge of core HR functions such as talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, talent development, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state employment and laws, labor laws.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong written, verbal communication skills; strong presenting, editing and visual design skills.
- Ability to operate enterprise business systems including Microsoft Office suite, Workday Human Capital Management System.
