Labor and Employment Attorney

We are hiring a labor and employment law attorney with 2 or more years of litigation experience. Ferraro Vega is plaintiff's litigation firm that represents employees in wage and hour litigation across California and Washington State.

The Position

Our attorneys have no billable hour requirement, paid vacation, hybrid work environment, and are supported on every case with a paralegal, legal assistant, and supervising or associate attorney. We work efficiently, practically, and as a team to achieve success for our clients. Our attorneys rarely work past 5:00 p.m. and are empowered to work efficiently during regular business hours in our new Mission Valley offices.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for filing complaints, filing and opposing various motions, discovery and depositions, virtual court appearances, and supervising the completion of work on your cases. You will be assigned to cases primarily filed in San Diego County Superior Court.

Qualifications
- Strong background in litigation with a focus on employment cases; class action and PAGA experience ideal
- Proficiency and desire to negotiate in a positive way with opposing counsel, avoid disputes, and deal with clients and potential clients
- Experience in legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent writing skills for legal documents and correspondence
- Ability to draft legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Willingness to learn our systems and software (Lawyaw, Google Workspace, etc.)

Compensation

Compensation is negotiable and competitive, including a base salary plus year end bonus based on individual and firm performance.
