- Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and finance teams, to forecast demand, prioritize purchasing requirements, and align procurement activities with business goals.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, conduct supplier audits, and assess risks to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical practices.
- Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate and select suppliers, manage supplier performance, and resolve quality, delivery, and pricing issues.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage inventory turnover, and optimize inventory control processes to minimize stockouts, reduce carrying costs, and improve cash flow.
- Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in procurement and supply chain management to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is required.
- Demonstrated strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis expertise.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, quality standards, and procurement and supply chain management best practices.
