Warehouse Manager

Frozen Food Express is looking for a Shift Operations Manager for our Denver, CO location.

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise assigned dockworkers and yard employees to include adherence to company policy.
• Monitor outbound loading efforts to insure timely cuts and dispatch efforts.
• Coordinate change in loads due to late freight or special needs.
• Assigns duties and sets daily expectations to dock supervisors.
• Responsible for the proper execution of the dock operations for the assigned shift, ensuring that our customer’s freight is handled timely, efficiently, and claims free in the most economical way.
• Resolves and determines rood cause of service failures.
• Conduct weekly safety communication meetings/ pre-shift meetings.
• Facilities and manages warehouse inventory control.
• Takes a proactive stance with OS&D to resolve and reduce claim situations.
• Trains new Dockworkers
• Insurance proper identification, tagging, and placement of product in a temperature controlled environment.
• Issues disciplinary counsel to employees as needed.
• Facilitates the training of new hires.
• Monitors and manage all material handling equipment for safety and working condition
• Responsible for working with Yard Hostler
• Regular and reliable attendance is required

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 5 years of current warehouse shipping and receiving experience (Required)
• Ability to communicate, manage and administrate and the ability to influence
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-up/through abilities
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication.
• Organizational skills for planning, decision-making and executing with excellence
• Highly motivated, flexible and have a great attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft software such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Current working knowledge of AS400 software, a plus
• Must be able to interact well with others
• Must be able to work independently or in a team setting
• Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities (Required)
• Individual must be flexible. Hours will be based on Customer needs, weekend shifts may be required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
