The Role
As Communications Consultant you will work to analyze, craft and deliver communication and education plans and approaches for Fidelity's plan sponsors. The participant engagement solutions you propose will be tailored to the client's needs based on plan design and employee behavior, combining Fidelity products and services and potential custom opportunities.

Ensuring strong client satisfaction by analyzing client plans, developing and executing effective communications strategies based upon client needs and goals, and delivering high quality communication services

Seeking opportunities for clients to enable Fidelity products and services that enhance the participant experience and elevate their benefit offering

Analyzing participant behavior and educational needs to propose standard solutions and/or custom solutions

Balancing client expectations and appetite for custom designs and proposing appropriate solutions

Measuring and reporting successes/opportunities based on identified plan goals following execution of communications

Participating in and leading client meetings to review communication requirements, deliverables and alternatives, negotiating deadlines, and reviewing budget implications

Actively executing and billing any fee-for-service opportunities, including review and approval of all client communication expenses/billing as appropriate

Understanding benefits regulatory environment and impacts on communication needs

Supporting finals meetings and rebid activity/RFPs for aligned clients, as needed

Supporting cross-sell opportunities for products and services

Participating in additional department and cross-function initiatives

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

BA/BS Required
-
5 years communications consulting or benefits consulting experience preferred
-
Experience working directly with plan sponsors as part of a client service team or supporting function
-
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses or attained within 90 days of hire

Ability to analyze employee and plan data to illustrate impact of Fidelity communications and identify custom solutions

Strong public speaking and consultative techniques to engage your audience in a compelling way while demonstrating Fidelity tools and products

Ability to "read the room" and focus on the aspects of Fidelity's participant experience that resonate most with your client audience

Your in depth understanding of the communication process, from writing and design through distribution across multiple media (print, internet, video)

The proven ability to work independently and build recommendations with little direction

A desire to continually improve how we tell the participant engagement story to plan sponsors

A natural curiosity to try innovative techniques to engage both plan sponsors and participants virtually

Strong subject matter expertise in Fidelity defined contribution products and services

Ability to work closely with other service team members for the benefit of the client
The Team
You will guide Fidelity's plan sponsors to understand, value, and utilize Fidelity's participant programs, position the engagement strategy for new products, deliver a cohesive communication and education plan to clients, and provide oversight on execution of the strategy.
You will work with between 5-7 clients depending on the assets and complexity of the client. You will partner internally with key business partners in relationship management, marketing and product. Your consultative engagement will elevate Fidelity's Communication & Education (C&E) offering brand with our clients and business partners, drive adoption of Fidelity products and services, help increase overall client happiness and retention, and help achieve Workplace Investing (WI) Organization's strategic goals.
