General Management Leadership – Planning & Enablement Leader with Enhanced Onboarding Rotational Program
The General Management Leadership program for Sales is an exciting new development program designed to strengthen our business by recruiting external senior level leadership talent who will bring diverse perspectives and experiences, allowing us to more creatively innovate and achieve our business objectives. This role is unique in that in addition to the primary job responsibilities, the incumbent will participate in a one-year rotational onboarding program designed to facilitate a more expedited acclimation to the firm and the Personal Investing (PI) Distribution organization. The leader will rotate through four different areas of our National Sales organization, including Managed Accounts, Regional Coaching, Planning & Advice and Fidelity Insurance.
During the rotations you will learn about the business, its key objectives and begin building relationships. You will learn the strategy and priorities and will be expected to share your perspective and influence decisions through your ideas and actions. In addition to rotations within the Sales organization, this leader will participate in curated experiences within other Distribution functions including Wealth Management, Distribution Service Operations, Regional Call Centers, Wealth Management and the Investor Centers.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- 10 years of leadership experience preferably leading leaders and teams of planners, coaches and product specialist teams in the financial service industry
- Experience with advanced planning and book of business practice management
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities across a wide range of activities, drivers, and outcomes.
- Proven track record of high levels of associate engagement across multiple roles and diverse teams.
Preferred:
- MBA or equivalent
- Certified Financial Planner designation
- Series 7, 9/10, 65/66
- This role may require up to 20% travel
The Purpose of Your Role
The primary responsibilities will be to serve as a Planning and Enablement leader, where you be a member of the Sales Senior Leadership Team (SLT) responsible for leading the strategy and execution of Sales strategic priorities, including creating a roadmap for achieving the priorities, implementing them and monitoring steps necessary to reach them. It involves setting priorities, allocating resources, and making decisions to advance the organization towards its goal of “helping more people”. Specific responsibilities include establishing SLT execution rhythms around staff meetings, business reviews, associate engagement, partnering with other functional P&E leaders to provide the sales perspective, as well as other standard leadership activities. In addition, the P&E leader will take on function-specific projects within Sales and will represent Sales in certain Distribution-wide projects.

- Sharing financial planning expertise to appropriately position Fidelity's retail guidance tools, products, and planning strategies
