Field Aerospace, a global provider of aircraft integration, modification, maintenance, logistics, and sustainment solutions is in search of a highly motivated, hands-on professional for a full-time, ODA Administrator, Certification Manager. This is an on-site position at our Oklahoma City, OK location.
The ODA Administrator, Certification Manager will manage the Certification Engineering group at Field Aerospace’s Oklahoma City facility in the development of technical information, systems requirements and airworthiness certification requirements for modification and sustainment programs. As an Integrated part of the FAA Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) provide leadership and technical guidance including duties of ODA Administrator. Provide direct oversight of FAA Design and Production Approval Holder responsibilities and activities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage technical capabilities, including resources in a specific area, processes and tools of the Certification Engineering group;
- Supervise daily activities of Certification Engineering personnel;
- Oversee Field Aerospace ODA programs, procedures, and activities
- Ensure data developed in support of certification programs meets requirements of Statement of Work and certification requirements of the applicable governing authority;
- Track certification engineering activity progress, manage project deliverables, and schedules;
- Conduct internal and external certification reviews;
- Prepare and review necessary documentation to support FAA and military airworthiness approvals;
- Coordinate certification efforts with the FAA or appropriate authority;
- Provide expert advice to the company in planning and performance of certification engineering activities including airworthiness approach, certification requirements, certification processes and interaction with airworthiness authorities;
- Preparation, review and approval of certification plans (PSCP) and compliance reports.
- Preparation, review, approval and implementation of ground and flight test plans and reports.
Experience:
- Minimum of ten (10) years US civil aircraft modification engineering and certification experience; Military certification experience desired
- Detailed knowledge of civil and military airworthiness certification standards and processes (i.e. 14 CFR Part 21, 23, 25, 27, 29 and / or MIL-HDBK-516C).
- Experience as an FAA DER or ODA UM / Administrator is desired
- Proficient with MS Office
- Experience with MS Project is desired
Education:
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering Degree from a recognized University; or equivalent combination of technical education and/or experience.
