Part-Time Sports Field Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Sports Field Technician to join our team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality and safety of various sports fields including baseball, softball, football, soccer, and more within the Morrow County and Mount Gilead areas. If you have a passion for sports and groundskeeping, and enjoy working outdoors, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, sodding, and seeding to ensure field readiness and aesthetic appeal.
• Remove debris from playing fields and surrounding areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Apply field markings and set up equipment for games and practice sessions according to specific sports requirements.
• Conduct facility maintenance tasks to ensure that all amenities are in good working condition.
• Engage in various forms of manual labor necessary to upkeep the standard of sports fields.
• Assist in the preparation and repair of playing surfaces to ensure optimal playability and safety.
• Work collaboratively with team members and follow directions from the field manager to meet maintenance standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a similar field is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor and operate maintenance equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and the ability to follow through on commitments.
• Knowledge of sports field maintenance and marking specifications is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

Working Conditions:

• This position involves significant outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
