Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Effectively partner with leadership to ensure implementation of HR initiatives, programs, systems, and other HR elements to drive achievement of organizational goals and objectives (in conjunction and with support of all Talent areas: Legal, TA, L&D, Communications, HR Ops, Compensation, and Benefits)
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for effectively managing labor relations, including collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, and labor union interactions.
- Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping abreast of existing, anticipated, and new legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; advise management on needed actions
- Ensure timely administration of HR-related documents in accordance with established guidelines so that HR-related matters are administered quickly and accurately and in compliance
- Guide employees and managers in handling HR-related questions, interpret and explain HR policies, and help resolve employee relations issues as needed
- Support and guide management in critical employee performance issues; investigate and resolve employee issues; assist and coach managers with corrective performance programs
- Support and guide management in the design of the appropriate organizational structure and their corresponding positions
- With the support of the Talent Acquisition team, oversee recruitment activities
- Curate culture and work diligently to ensure the existence of a culture driven by FIFCO’s values
- Lead employee engagement activities in conjunction with other areas/functions
- Act as a key member of the company’s COVID task force
- Ensure performance management systems, processes, and procedures are in place and equitably performed (including PM training, goal setting, performance monitoring, and performance review)
- Lead Talent Review process with client groups and ensure output of the program is used as a basis for development and growth decisions
- Advise key leadership development activities and actions
- Coach senior leadership about leadership development decisions
- Support L&D in the design of various levels of employee training programs
- Support managers in assessing their skills gaps and training needs; work to close skills gaps through internal and external training opportunities
- Facilitate assessment of talent in the organization and plan for future development and succession through the annual organizational Talent Review program
- Ensure compliance with annual mandatory training
- With the support of the Compensation function, lead the annual remuneration activities with the corresponding client groups
- Supports the benefits agenda for annual remuneration, led by Talent Operations
- Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, OD, Psychology or similar, Master’s Degree preferred
- 7 to 10 years’ experience
- SHRM or PHR certification, preferred
- Training in Employee relations / Employee legislation / Compliance/DE&I/ General Talent management / OD, preferred
