Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for targeting, soliciting and securing new business, servicing, maintaining and growing existing accounts, learning and understanding product lines and preparing/creating sales related documentation. Successfully supports business development activities by providing exceptional service to customers through superior inventory management and account support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Manages customer inventory through: a. Setting up inventory management systems to promote efficiencies. b. Establishing appropriate stocking levels . c. Making recommendations on consignment usage levels. 2. Supports activities to contribute to and elevate customer service and experience: a. Responsible for the maintenance of company assets including but not limited to mixing machine, computer, equipment and color documentation. i. Responsible for the timely installation of color documentation updates for the customer. b. Assist with installation or remodel of paint rooms c. Delivers exceptional service to a diverse set of customer types by understanding and proactively responding to their needs. d. Contacts appropriate team members for the customer as technical issues arise. e. Coordination of month-end sales and inventory push reports as required by customer. 3. Contributes to growth and success of the team: a. Participates in and strengthens teamwork with FinishMaster branch personnel, customers, vendors and sales team members. b. Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive activities. c. Plans efficient routes, optimizing, safety, mileage, traffic, local road conditions, weather and customer requirements. d. Assists in demonstrations with Tech Rep for new product lines. e. Assists in implementation and maintenance of Health and Safety procedures. f. Assists and supports, Account Manager, and Tech Rep as needed. g. Assists and supports new deal growth through opportunity generation and development. 4. Targets, solicits and secures new business. a. Gains and maintains knowledge of market and actively competes/works to increase market share. b. Develops target accounts and plans/achieves goals. c. Develops strong relationships with key decision makers. 5. Maintains and grows Accounts. a. Delivers exceptional service to a diverse set of customer types by understanding and proactively responding to their needs. b. Retain existing customers c. Expanding existing accounts d. Develops strong partnerships with sales team, branch employees and vendor representatives. e. Collaborates with vendor representatives in planning, targeting, and positioning efforts POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Mandatory Requirements 1. High School diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Requirements 1. One-year certificate from college or technical school with emphasis in product usage. Experience and Competencies: Mandatory Requirements 1. Professional/customer service-oriented demeanor. 2. Must be able to make a great first impression and build instant rapport. 3. Ability to successfully communicate with customers, vendors and coworkers. 4. Must be highly organized and demonstrate attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills. 5. Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as work well in a team. 6. Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line). 7. Ability to work well in a fast-paced competitive field environment. Preferred Requirements 1. Previous sales support or customer service experience. 2. Familiar with industry paint lines. 3. Functional computer skills.
