Fireball USA and its subdivision Ember Studios is looking for a web designer with significant development experience to lead the growing web development branch of our company. As Lead Web Designer, your first responsibility will be implementing Fireball’s design language onto our new website. Once this is accomplished, we look forward to seeing your creative versatility as Ember Studios takes on website building for clients across all industries. This role will give you the opportunity to rebrand and redefine the styles of many of our partner companies, both digitally and in print material.

Fireball is a car care aftermarket company based out of South Korea. Its USA branch, based out of Olathe Kansas, coordinates closely with our Korean headquarters. Our flagship products are ceramic coatings, an aftermarket protection item primarily for vehicles. Fireball USA is a national brand, with partners all across the United States and U.S. Territories.

Ember Studios is Fireball USA’s subsidiary marketing firm. Built from the original Fireball USA Team, Ember Studios manages Fireball’s public image. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Design and create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.

- Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand and deliver on project goals.

- Create and optimize graphics, animations, and other visual elements for web pages.

- Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are mobile-friendly.

- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to make necessary design improvements.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design.

- Establish UI/UX design deliverables through block diagrams, wireframes, moodboards, mockups and specifications.

- Executes and supervises numerous projects, activities and deadlines simultaneously.

- Follow and use the Fireball style guide.

- Designing engaging and responsive landing pages for campaigns.

- Plan and Develop WordPress content architecture.

- Convert approved designs to functional, responsive, web/mobile templates and pages using WordPress/Elementor.

- Work strategically with the content and marketing teams to ensure effective page optimization, usability, and brand adherence.

- Support existing WordPress sites with updates, maintenance and new features/functionality.

- Test and troubleshoot WordPress implementations.

- Ensure company logos and color schemes are used consistently and correctly throughout all media.

- Design web print, and digital content and provide direction to other Marketing team members.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Manage ongoing WordPress updates and ensure high site performance.

REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • 2 years developing WordPress sites (Portfolio samples required).
  • 3 years’ PHP experience.
  • Experience in HTML and CSS.
  • Proficient with jQuery, strong Javascript skills desirable.
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress.
  • Experience developing with Elementor, WooCommerce, GravityForms, The Events Calendar, Yoast SEO Framework and related plugins.

Experience integration with CRM, Email Marketing and other third-party tools and platforms.

  • Basic knowledge of Social Media management, Google AdWords, and SEO.
  • Object Oriented PHP working experience and knowledge.
  • Strong JavaScript skills including common frameworks and libraries.
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Functional SQL knowledge of queries and basic modeling.
  • Experience with code management technologies.
  • Comfortable working with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
  • Ability to design for both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Designs primarily for web and digital media, with some traditional design as required.

PREFERRED:

  • 5 years of Graphic Design experience.
  • Experience with Photography, Videography.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Understanding of, or experience with media buying.
  • Understanding of ROI.
  • Experience with creating email campaigns.
  • Customer leads management.
  • Ability to conceptualize advertising concepts.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Asana or Slack.
  • Prioritization and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
