What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN, FPG Vascular Surgery position at Firelands Physician Group?
GENERAL SUMMARY AND SCOPE
Performs professional nursing care and services for assigned physician(s) or department(s) under the general policies and procedures established by FPG. Under supervision of the physician(s), participates in providing health promotion, health maintenance, and management of illnesses. Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care and provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services. Responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties including but not limited to: monitoring patient flow, obtaining and documenting patient vitals, document current medications, chief complaint, performing technical laboratory functions including phlebotomy/EKG/stress testing, monitor/track/charge medical equipment, scheduling procedures and tests, and medical scribe duties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be a graduate of an accredited program of practical nursing with current licensure in the state of Ohio.
- Must have the ability to perform as a medical scribe.
- Prior experience in a medical office/urgent care setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be knowledgeable of technical application of nursing process.
- Must possess critical thinking skills, including skill in exercising initiative, judgement, problem solving, and decision making.
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and insurable under Firelands auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
