Overview
This is a skilled sales position for a confident, highly motivated individual. Area Manager must be self-disciplined to work independently in an assigned territory to grow fluid-applied coating sales to the commercial roofing market and meet Region and Division sales objectives. Individual must be able to manage existing customer base, prospect new customers, and utilize value added, solution based selling to close business with contractors, dealers and building owners.
Responsibilities
* Perform sales presentations to contractors, distributors, dealers and building owners.* Provide PK and Hands on training to contractors, dealers and distribution personnel.* Ability to consult on commercial roofing best practices and perform inspections on the roof.* Generate leads through contacts and marketing campaigns to add to customer base and create new projects.* Manage on-going sales process by developing relationships and responding to customer needs with the ability to close sales.* Represent Gaco/Firestone at local and regional Trade Shows.* Ability to meet or exceed territory sales & profit targets * Ability to travel frequently in designated territory (50%)
Qualifications
1) Three to five years sales experience (Coatings & Building Material industry is preferred)2) Strong track record in building business and increasing sales.3) Ability to build effective and lasting relationships.4) Ability to speak and present to small groups.5) Ability to climb a ladder and step onto a roof6) Computer Skills - Ability to navigate MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power-Point)7) Basic math skills, calculating discounts, and calculating area.8) Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
