First Choice Services is a non-profit operating several FREE programs and helplines across multiple states with the common goal of making behavioral health and social services easier to access and navigate! And we do all of this from our beautiful office in Charleston, WV!

What will the PGHN Program Coordinator do?
The PGHN Program Coordinator will work with the PGHN Program Director on all things quality assurance and program support! The PGHN Program Coordinator serves a population seeking behavioral health and addiction treatment, and therefore, must be driven, empathetic, and passionate about mental health, suicide prevention and substance abuse and gambling addiction treatment for consumers of all ages.
What are some of the essential functions?
- Assists the program director with leadership of program employees in the areas of hiring, training, discipline, recognition, employee evaluation and ongoing supervision.
- Assists other program employees with complex situations, giving instruction when needed.
- Responsible for the development and management of the quality assurance program.
- Responsible for making recommendations for staff support and professional development.
- Monitoring calls/chats; providing constructive feedback; willing to answer calls/chats/texts as needed.
What are the requirements for the positions?
- Master’s Degree preferably in the social services field or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Candidates working toward their master’s degree in a social services or equivalent field will be given consideration. If currently in process to attain master’s degree, must complete program and be degreed within one year.
- Minimum of one year experience in the implementation of service delivery objectives.
- Experience in Crisis Intervention.
- Strong communication skills, both written and orally.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen (post-offer).
- Ability to work different shifts, when needed, to meet our employees where they are.
- Reliable transportation.
- Continuous computer work, so candidates must have computer and typing skills.
