Requirements for Floating Part-Time Teller:
- Minimum of one (1) year cash handling experience
- High School diploma (or equivalent) with an emphasis in a Business or Accounting curriculum
- Communicate clearly in English
- Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills
- Analytical and mathematics skills
- Communication, interpersonal relations and customer service skills
- PC skills, including knowledge of job-related software applications
- Ability to operate various office machines (i.e., currency counter, combination lock, check encoder, fax machine, passbook validator)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds of coin
- Visual and auditory skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the paying and receiving function of the branch office
- Coordinate work within the branch and Bank departments
- Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and respond to inquiries or requests for information
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Process various customer transactions ensuring branch service is maintained at high levels; maintains accurate records
- Cash checks within approved authority and operating policy
- Accept deposits for various accounts
- Process night deposits and mail deposits
- Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent, and other related payments
- Sell Cashiers Checks, Certified Checks, etc.
- Identify new business opportunities with customers; cross sell Bank products and services and actively refer customers to appropriate customer service personnel
- Address customer questions and concerns; refer to appropriate internal resources for resolution
- Maintain awareness of current fraud alerts; identify fraudulent activity to prevent potential losses
- Maintain current knowledge of new products and services
- Maintain an approved level of cash; turn in excess and mutilated cash
- Prepare daily settlement and proof of cash transactions; balance cash drawer accurately and efficiently on a daily basis
- Participate in weekly branch meetings
- Prepare reports relating to the function, e.g., currency transaction, BSA reports, etc.
- Maintain Teller supplies and an awareness of supply inventory control
- Balance night depository activity and ATM machines
- Complete daily ATM proof
- Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the branch and Bank departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information
- Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace
- Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Compile information as necessary or as directed and provide data to appropriate Bank personnel
- Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy
