Ped Hosp Do not typically work in PED ICU situations. It might be listed wrong and should be ped floor just higher acuity? Ok, I think it is spelled out pretty specifically so not sure what they are looking for. Our ICU opened back up in January. Our 2 pediatricians and nurses decided they could take some older adolescents to the ICU over 50kg. Those are the listed criteria. To date we have admitted zero adolescents to the unit. If the contractor does not feel comfortable with these cases they could specifically tell me that when they arrive and we would not accept those cases during their tenure here. The pediatricians do need to be proficient in neonatal resuscitation, treating respiratory and infectious disease in young patients a since that is 95-99% of the duties.
Patients per day. Where is call from? Newborns? Required procedures? - From our onboarding document: 250 deliveries per year at SEH, 40-50 pediatric admissions per year, including through ED and direct admission. Initial resuscitation/management for all high-risk deliveries performed at St. Elizabeth Hospital (unplanned C/S, fetal distress, preterm).
Is the provider required to attend deliveries and C-sections? Yes, on occasion they will be asked to attend but it is not with all deliveries.
Providers are required to participate in CO Medicaid to prescribe patients. 80% of their patients are CO Medicaid patients.
