LOCAL TRAVELERS ( Perm Address within 50 miles of facility) ARE NOT ALLOWED FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THIS FACILITY AT THIS TIME. PLEASE INCLUDE PERM ADDRESS ON THE SUBMISSION FOR YOUR CANDIDATES. Thank you!

A THREE STRIKE RULE FOR ANY CALL OFFS WILL BE IMPLEMENTED AS FOLLOWS: After 3 call offs, a travelers contract will be eligible for termination due to lack of attendance at Weirton Medical Centers discretion.
Traveler will be working with Covid Patients at times.
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Dress Code: Traveler provided scrubs/Navy Blue
EMR: Sorian
Level 4 Trauma Center
Submission Requirements
3 Years CURRENT MS experience - Required
3 Years of Nursing Experience - Required
BSN - Preferred
Sorian EMR experience - Preferred
Profile Requirements
Two Years of Previous travel experience - Required
Work History
Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
2 Signed References from a Supervisor (from within the past two years of employment)
License: Must be uploaded with profile
Certificaitons: Must be uploaded with profile or listed in profile that they curently have them

WMC History
1953
Weirton Medical Center (then Weirton General Hospital) was founded in 1953 by a group of community leaders in the City of Weirton. The Hospital was initially located in the Weircrest addition of Weirton, north of the city.
1978
A new facility, renamed Weirton Medical Center, was built on a 20-acre campus located near the US Route 22 corridor adjacent to the West Virginia/Pennsylvania border. The late Michael Starvaggi, President of Starvaggi Industries, donated the land for the current facility.
1987
The Hospital converted 23 inpatient beds to create a 23-bed skilled care unit. This unit was expanded to 33 beds in 1996. In 1992, the Hospital created a 20-bed psychiatric unit.
1995
The Hospital undertook a *** million outpatient renovation, which modified the existing main floor of the facility into a centralized outpatient center. In 2002, Weirton Medical Center completed construction of a *** million four-story medical office complex annexing the main hospital.
