Key Responsibilities
Lot Operations Management
Oversee all aspects of the dealership lot, including vehicle placement, organization, and cleanliness. Follow efficient procedures for the movement of vehicles to optimize lot space utilization. Coordinate with sales and service departments to ensure smooth vehicle transitions, including maintenance and deliveries. Maintain accurate records of vehicle locations, ensuring easy retrieval and minimal delay during customer visits.
Inventory Control
Conduct regular lot audits to ensure accurate inventory counts and proper documentation of all vehicles. Coordinate with the sales team to update vehicle statuses and availability in the dealership's computer system. Monitor aging inventory and collaborate with management to develop strategies for timely sales and promotions. Manage vehicle keys, ensuring secure storage and proper assignment to staff members.
Lot Maintenance and Appearance
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing lot to create a positive impression for customers. Oversee the scheduling and execution of lot maintenance tasks, such as vehicle washing, detailing, and minor repairs. Monitor the condition of lot equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed. Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for employees and customers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in lot management or a related field within the automotive industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
