A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRECONSTRUCTION PROJECT COORDINATOR
As a Preconstruction Project Coordinator at First Onsite, each morning brings a fresh set of challenges and opportunities. Your day kicks off with a detailed review of ongoing projects, collaborating closely with our specialized team to strategize the buy-out of trades and procurement of materials for upcoming reconstruction endeavors. As you engage with leadership, your input becomes instrumental in understanding, evaluating, and refining project scopes, ensuring alignment with our high standards.
Throughout the day, you seamlessly navigate between multiple projects across the United States and neighboring countries, employing your problem-solving prowess to support subcontractors and Project Managers during the construction phase. Your hands-on approach extends to tracking material and labor unit pricing, enforcing safety procedures, and maintaining a keen eye on quality standards. With a can-do attitude, you tackle challenges head-on, responding promptly to project needs, attending meetings, and staying abreast of industry trends. This dynamic role not only demands technical prowess but also provides a platform for you to contribute meaningfully to the success of each project, making every day uniquely rewarding and impactful.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Can-do attitude, fostering teamwork and individual initiative
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in permit expediting and related commercial construction roles
- Flexible for extended travel as needed
- Valid DL Required
