Basic Job Functions:
- Design, Implement and Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Application Programming Interface Gateway, Oracle DevCS, Autonomous Transaction Processing Databases, Visual Builder Environments, Identity Cloud Services, etc. The OCI Administrator will work closely with other parts of the IT Department, including System Administrators, Software Development, Application functional/technical analysts, Network, Security and DBAs to support PaaS/IaaS/SaaS.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline. Degrees from other disciplines will be acceptable for candidates with strong qualifications in terms of subject matter expertise.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications will be highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components including OIC, autonomous databases, API gateways, backups, VBCS, Oracle DevCS, IDCS, managing access control for PaaS and IaaS resources using roles/groups, and policies.
- Database administration experience in Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL server will be a strong plus.
- Thorough knowledge of how Oracle VBCS environments and applications developed in it are setup, maintained including keeping them up with the latest patches and updates.
- Thorough knowledge of access control components such as policies, roles/groups, and setting up privileges at various levels like compartments and tenancy.
- Thorough knowledge of Oracle OIC On premise agent, setting it up and maintaining it.
- Experience administering Oracle EPM applications will be a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Oracle DevCS.
- Familiarity with OCI Identity, Security, Access Governance.
- Ability to write technical specifications and architecture diagrams.
- Deep understanding of SDLC, IT Change Control and problem investigation processes, Deployment Methodologies and Application Server Life Cycle Management.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft office 365 products which includes but not limited to Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization in written, verbal, digital, and formal presentations.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies and train other members of the team is critical. This includes database administration, and system administration in other areas.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- At least 3 years of experience in administering the following services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Creating and administering Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) instances.
- Managing Backup and Restore of both OIC and ATP instances.
- Troubleshooting Performance and other system errors.
- Creating and administering Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) Databases
- Managing the security of both OIC and ATP database
- Maintaining VBCS Applications from an administration perspective.
- Setting up high availability for OCI components and OIC on premise agents
- Refreshing Non-Prod OCI components like databases and integration instances from production.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources which includes but not limited to Oracle integration instances, Advanced transaction processing databases, API Gateways, and VBCS environments.
- Monitor OCI performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Create dashboards and Alerts that aids proactive monitoring.
- Implement and manage all Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
- Manage Backup and DR Strategies using Object Storage, and Autonomous Data Guard.
- Implement & enforce governance policies & controls to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Configure and Manage OCI Compartments and Provisioning services like IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and DBaaS across Availability and Fault Domains.
- Perform refreshes of Non-Prod environments in OCI to meet the demands of IT and business.
- Perform refreshes of Non-Prod Oracle EPM environments.
- Manage user Security groups, and compartments.
- Monitor all services access, availability, performance, and usage.
- Configure, Manage, Audit and Alert on the Security of the OCI environment.
- Implement Best Practices for PaaS services lifecycle.
- Configure and manage OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) to control access and permissions.
- Implement security best practices, including data encryption, network security, & regular security audits
- Integrate OCI with other systems and tools to streamline workflows and enhance system functionality.
- Develop KPIs and Metrics Reports and Dashboards
- Work with internal staff, third-party vendors, and Oracle to update and communicate environment maintenance schedules, refresh schedules, and outages.
- View and monitor service detail and service notifications related to patching/critical updates/downtime.
- Configure and manage OCI/OIC logging and auditing mechanisms for comprehensive system tracking.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new OCI features and enhancements to improve system performance and functionality.
- Function as the primary point of contact and Collaborate with Oracle support to address and resolve OCI/OIC-related technical issues.
- Develop and maintain OCI documentation and architecture diagrams.
- Perform other IT related tasks as assigned.
Reporting Relationships:
- This position will report Senior IT Manager.
- This position will not have any direct reports.
Travel:
- 0% - 5% (On occasion/as needed for training, etc.)
Estimated Annual Salary Range:
- $64,000 - $90,000 Estimated Annual Salary
