Job Posting for Activity Coordinator at First Step Recovery
First Step Recovery is currently seeking a Part-time Activity Coordinator ; 15-20 hours per week from 5pm-8pm with some flexibility in hours as needed. Current CDCA licensure required.
The primary role of the activity coordinator is to create activities that enrich the lives of clients with physical and cognitive exercise and socialization.
The activity coordinator will plan and oversee recreational activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, gardening, or other activities to inspire interest and participation of residents.
Plan, organize, and manage or lead activities.
Plan activities within a set budget.
Submit budgetary recommendations for equipment and supplies.
Maintain and publish a schedule of activities.
Modify or ensure activities are appropriate for ability levels and limitations of residents.
Coordinate and communicate with staff members.
Oversee group activities.
Ensure that staff and participants follow all safety protocols.
Monitor client participation and provide reports to staff as needed.
Utilize feedback from client base to better understand needs and varying interests of population.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
